I'd better set the CNAME for her today ... this is her business site - she's an artist and her site is consulted for jobs. Her site loads in Firefox even though the Security settings in FF are on (I think by default). Safari, however, throws up the Google alert when Safari's security pref for "fraudulent" sites is ON. > > >> Or, does she have to republish her website, then submit that site to >> Google .. have them check for malware, then approve the site.. and >> take it off the blacklist? > > I don't see anywhere that there's an option to manually submit a site > explicitly for review - you could set her up with Google Sitemap or > one of > the other Google services which will trigger a re-index of her site, > though, which may speed the service... if it's a low-traffic > personal site > it's not likely being indexed by Google very frequently, so either you > wait until it's next pass, or do something to cause it to re-index. Yeah, the techie at her hosting service stated she had to make a request to Google to review her newly published site. But to make that request, it appears you need a Google account - which I don't have. She does, however, and I've asked her to look into it. > > >> >> The latter is what is being suggested by her current service >> provider. > > I suspect they have no idea what they are talking about, I suspect that as well - I was on the phone with the guy for 20 minutes asking him to repeat what he was saying.
