In one sense, I agree - but it seems more than a little weird that the lion's share of the blame is being heaped on Dodd, based on what Greenwald writes in Salon. I tend to find his writing very well researched, clearly articulated, and devoid of the simple out of context quotes and suggestions so common elsewhere. The CNN article you linked seems to be nothing but that - a gotcha article, where they suggest he's changing his position, instead of fully explaining the situation.
