The bad news is that he might be everything the left and the right
hates.

Wouldn't that be 'special'?

At the moment the right seems to be fixated on his inability to speak
without a teleprompter.

The only thought I've given to that is that is BushChimpyMcHitler had
made the same gaffs (thanking himself for the party etc..)
the left would have been howling in derision. At least Bush spoke
(or misspoke) with his own two feet in his mouth, not put there by a
teleprompter.

My criticism of Obama is more along the lines that he is behaving like
an addled ADD child trying to take on everything at once, without
giving much thought to the priorities.

Rome is burning and some people are asking if he is actually up to the
job.

To be clear. I want him to be. I like to keep my politics on shore
and have my President present a calm and in control appearence to the
rest of the world.

I may want some of his policy changes to 'fail' but the world is far
to dangerous a place to have the President seem out of his league.

It's just too tempting for the opposing powers to make mischief if
they think he is totally distracted. China's boats pushing too
close for example or N. Korea's plans to launch what is really an ICBM
test. Russia making noises about selling Iran missile defense.

Now heap some major economic problems on top and that should be plenty
to keep him busy.

Come back to electric cars[1] and appearing on Leno later.

=c=

I never did get his point about claiming that a model T got better gas
milage than an SUV.

the model T was fuck all less efficient.. the model T had a 40
horsepower engine, weighed 1200 lbs and got 13-21 mpg.
a (ford explorer) SUV weighs 4583lbs , has 155 horsepower and still
gets 20 mpg Hwy, 14 mpg City

He needs better staff to write this stuff for him..
