It's not even logging anything when it gets into this frozen mode.
It's just like when Mail.app decides for some ineffable reason that it
cannot quit. It just sits there forever. Short of reinstalling it and
removing it's preferences what else is there?

[03:47:07] reader: first SCR 146
[03:47:07] a52_syncinfo failed
[03:47:07] a52_syncinfo ok
[03:47:07] sync: expecting 9591 video frames
[03:47:07] mpeg2: "" (1) at frame 0 time 3003
[03:47:07] sync: first pts is 3003
[03:47:07] sync: video time didn't advance - dropped 10 frames (delta
325 ms, current 42042, next 42792, dur 750)
[11:16:01] macgui: Rip: Pending queue count is 14
[11:16:08] sync: got 32 frames, 9591 expected
[11:16:08] macgui: cancelling current job and stopping the queue
[11:16:08] work: average encoding speed for job is 0.000000 fps

Between 03:47 and 11:16 it did absolutely nothing. This is a brand new
download and install of HB, including removing the preferences file in
~/Library/Preferences/.
