For me it was because there was such limited placement in the area of Psych. I enjoyed my affiliation in the Psych setting, but there were no jobs out there in that area. I was afraid that if I did find one in the area then I would get out of Practice with my Phys Dys and then it would be hard to switch back if I needed to.
Other things I heard as a student-You make less money in a Psych position. Also, from what I hear, schools are not even requiring fieldwork in Psych anymore.
