What is the person's occupational history? What does this person believe to be his/her goals? How would the person prioritize these goals? How could you integrate meaningful occupations into your treatment plan? Do the activities you're presently using have any meaning to the individual outside of their being used to remediate decreased finger extension? Have you considered integrating/weaving meaningful occupations into the individual's daily life in order to address finger ROM, strength and hand functioning? Could you also be using meaningful occupations as means to remediate impairment and disability?

Then place each sheet on the table. Have the patient try to crumble the paper and toss each sheet into a waste basket, or hit a target, etc. Estelle Breines -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of pat Sent: Wednesday, September 10, 2003 10:04 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [OTlist] finger extension I am looking for new ideas for increasing finger extension (ring and middle) in a patient that fell and landed on her hand. I can only think of about a half dozen, and it gets old doing the same things over and over. Any suggestions?
