Yeah, stupid question -- and it is moot anyway... I seem to have gotten a bit 
further.

I am pinning this down to an issue in /opt/otrs/scripts/apache2-perl-startup.pl

Anyone have otrs running with apache 2 that could share their 
/opt/otrs/scripts/apache2-perl-startup.pl ? or help with the error above?

No. If I'm right, all OTRS scripts are written in Perl.
