I know that MySQL has the LOAD > DATA INFILE facility, and using a CSV file, this works very well except for > setting up initial passwords for the users on the new system. > > > > If I leave the password blank I have been unable to logon as the new users. > > > > Is there a way of setting the default passwords in a CSV import file? > > I to am new to OTRS so I don't know if you can set a default password. However having just tested importing a user with the method you mentioned. If the user goes to /otrs/customer.pl and enters their username into 'Lost Your Password?' they will receive an email giving them a link to follow to receive a new password. The password is then sent to them by email straight away and then they can login normally.
