I'm not comfortable with enforcing Werror for now since Windows build
has warnings even though Werror is not passed correctly to the MSVC.
This also might be a bit annoying for developers while they are trying
to quickly prototype something.

I'd suggest to just send the removal of no-cast-align as a separate patch.
Our CI already enforces Werror and we're normally not accepting patches
that fail CI.  So, we should be fine on that front.
