The author of the article clearly does not understand SQL well enough to undertake a criticism of it. Nor does he understand the database technologies he intends to replace it with, as they existed in one form or another before SQL came out. Their weaknesses were what drove adoption of SQL in the first place, and those weaknesses have, if anything, magnified. The kind of ignorant arrogance displayed in the article is perfectly normal among young men with high IQs and sparse experience. It's also why it's a very bad idea to put such young men in charge of anything.
