Actually, the April fool part of this is a "criticism" of NoSQL databases which is actually a thinly veiled paean to them and an even thinner-veiled attack on SQL ones. The point of an April fool is to get the audience to believe your story--in this case, an "attack" on NoSQL--long enough to have a laugh about it. The time scale is seconds, minutes, or in cases of real mastery, hours. What the author of this piece did was portray himself as an arrogant fool, an impression that lasts and lasts and lasts, long past April. Oh, and top posting is bad, trimming good.
