I guess as long as we keep on seeing security as a product - firewall/IDPS/WAF/etc instead of a process of maintaining an acceptable of perceived risk, we will keep on encounter this kind of problem. Even now and then, people keep on searching the silver bullet solution for their security posture, hence the idiotic IDS vs IPS kind of argument thingy.. SIgh
