If your network seems unreliable, first check the topology. Onewire requires
bus topology with short stubs only.
"Star" kind networks could be achieved with multiple host adapters, the
DS2842-800 host adapter or the DS2409 network coupler, if this is really
neccessary. If your cabling supports more than one pair of wires, I suppose
to change a star network into a "looped" star style instead.
