Perhaps a little off topic... Has anyone come up with a simple way to make slave 1-wire devices usings say a PIC? I'm looking for a way to attach a microcontroller to a OW network.
My original plan was to use the DS2404 as a parameter ram that would be read by a PIC at bootup and on interrupt. It seemed a simple and elegant solution. However, I have 4 samples and the chip is no longer available.
