humm, well i think you need a shielded cable only a twisted pair with shield is all you need awg 26 is very big and allow a low voltage decay (cat7 specs) if you want send power, two twisted pair do the job... the point is impedance, there's many docs in maxim about what cable to use, see that they talk about awg or cooper size (mm) and if it's twisted or not
