Well, yes, uncached is not completely uncached. Directory and file names
are still remembered, only the values contained in the files are freshly
sampled when you use "uncached".

Read the contents of uncached/$CHIP_PATH/present instead. OWFS then
tries to address the chip on the bus and if that fails, it returns zero.
