"KDE" is the community. There is nothing like "KDE-only". That's where a lot 
of marketing effort went and is still going, to make the shift from KDE, the 
desktop enviornment, to KDE, the community. So we are actively fighting this 
misconception of KDE applications only be runnable on a KDE desktop. This is 
not the case for desktop applications, and it's of course also not the case 
for ownCloud.
