I have one. Get the docking station, and external monitor/keyboard, if you’re going to be doing a lot of work at a desk. As far as a device goes, it’s great if you need/want tablet functionality.
If you just want a laptop, then there’s probably other options. I also got a 4K monitor, but the SP3 can only drive it at 30Hz, which is a negative that’s not for everyone. But does give you a huge amount of real estate. I also got a mSATA form factor SSD to replace my old 2.5” drive – you can get a 1TB Samsung EVO model for about $480. The size is amazingly small – probably about the size of two large USB keys.
