Folks, I'm in the process of moving lots of repositories from Bitbucket and
Mercurial into GitHub. I'm doing this because it was confirmed by chatting
to people at DDD Melbourne last weekend that I'm living in the era of
floppy discs and VHS tapes. I can't really argue, because for the last year
there has been intense advertising of GitHub and Azure DevOps as the new
development ecosystem, and I am duty-bound to run with it.

Sadly it seems there is no way to import a Mercurial repository into GitHub
and I must manually create each repo and add the files and lose the
history. If anyone knows better, please let me know.

But my question is: while migrating wiki pages over to GitHub I fail to
find any place in the account where I can put miscellaneous un-versioned
files like images and other binaries. In Bitbucket there is a "downloads"
folder for this purpose, but is there an equivalent in my GitHub account?

Cheers,
*Greg K*
