Today at the newsagents, I flipped through the SHE magazines "having a baby"
book. Noticed an article about "Is breast really best" along similar lines
to Melb child article, but advice giving, not a story. Also an article
called "Too posh to push - why the rich (and you!) celebrities are having
caeserians". Article in "Practical parenting" called "feeding Phoebe" with
a lot of incorrect feeding advice examples...that are not corrected!
Sometimes I feel like pulling my hair out!!! To make matters worse, where I
work (a secondary college), you cannot access a site that has breastfeeding
women in it because it is considered 'forbidden', and is filtered. Not even
ABA!!! And my cousin, who ended up opting for elective caesarian has given
her 2 day old baby a dummy (I know, its not the end of the world, but I pray
it doesnt affect her feeding relationship or cause confusion, and it put the
icing on the cake after a really bad day) Is all that we do useless? When
do we get to see change?
Regards, Macha.
