The agencies will not provide PI for midwives to work in Birth Suites, therefore most hospitals are not putting agency midwives there. At the recent QNU conference a motion was passed for the QNU to investigate this practice. many ward based midwives are very uncomfortable going to BS as directed by their employers as many have not been in there for years-sad.
