Cleared it. No change.

This morning I went so far as to delete the site collection again, remove the
contentDB, create a new DB and imported a clean backup into it. Guess what -
the problem persists.

Does anyone know what this could mean? I know the backup is good so it seems
that something gets retained at the web app level.

It can be blobcache... no harm in resetting the cache and see if it is the
cause.

I don't have that luxury. Only other one we have at the moment is My Sites and
I don't have proper access.

I tend to agree with you that it's web app specific though. If I import the
content into another farm there is no problem. All the files in question are
also final published version, so no check-out weirdness there.

What's really nutty is that I can "Download a copy" of all the affected files
via the ECB drop-down option but that trying to navigate to the URL causes the
File Not Found error.

Has no one ever seen this before?? It happens to so often that I feel it has to
be a known issue.

Have you tried importing it to a new web app?

No one, huh?

I've since deleted the site collection (from the front end Site Settings) and
imported a clean copy. The problem still persists.

It's seems there's residual gunk in the DB? Any other ideas?

Hi all,

I usually only have this problem with image libraries after a migration task.
Unfortunately after running the June CU is production I'm getting it with our
primary CSS override file in the root Style Library.

When I click the file icon or name I get the dreaded Error - File No Found
screen.

No amount of overwriting, deleting, re-uploading or changing library settings
have any effect. The only fix (same with the image libraries) is to rename the
file. The original filename then becomes unusable.

Has anyone EVER seen this or know of a solution? All I can think of now is to
overwrite the entire library.

Paul
