You said it was a filler solution? Not a form services one, then you would get
a double hop.

Subject: Re: Infopath authentication

Hi Ishai,

Oh no no, this is simple scenario; I'll explain
There is a XSN form published to a doc library on Sp2010 and it makes web
services call on the same server.

I have a infopath xml form which is referencing the above XSN form.

This particular infopath is inside a Application under IIS Web site
http://sharepointsite/myeventsWS/infopathfile.xml
When I click the above URL it opens the XML file in Infopath and gets data from
web service and all is well.

But issue is on some computers when I click the above URL, it brings up
Authentication box, I click cancel on the box twice and form loads in Infopath
and also has data from web services.

I am wondering why is this working on some computers and not on others??

This is inside a corporate environment and I have added and removed proxy and
does not look the issue
What to look for??

For testing, I

Probably a double hop situation- you can't have the other machine call the

Subject: Infopath authentication

Hi Guys,

This is infopath filler solution.

Infopath file makes a local web service call. (SharePoint site and web service
is deployed on a Windows 2008 R2 Server)

It opens fine from one computer.

When I open the same form another computer, it brings up authentication box, I
click Cancel twice on the authentication box, it goes and form opens.

What can be the reason. for this annoying box to come up.

I have tested the webservice and can open/invoke it from the browser without
seeing any authentication box.

I tried adding the local webservice to intranet zone and it has not made any
difference.

Thanks,
Ajay
