Thanks Tim, thanks Scott.

The messages I get out of this are:

1) we should encourage our clients to upgrade to SL3 ASAP. SL2 apps will work
fine.

2) we should only install SL3 tools on our VM or 2nd partition. Develop next
gen prototypes and example apps = encourage clients to upgrade.

3) VS2010 will solve our long term issues if we are still stuck on SL2, lets
hope that is no the case.

VS2010 will handle multi targeting for Silverlight apps.

However, SL3 RTW support in VS2010 will have to wait until VS10 beta 2 L

Sorry John, I misread this email when Ross showed it to me tonight (that and i
was 2 beers in hehe).

1) No. Sorry (see prev email - i'll add this to the discussion for vNext though
and get back to all).

2) If they have the install checked with "Automatic Update" it will naturaully
take care of itself. If not, then you'll need to roll it out manually assuming
they have the machines locked down or can't get beyond UAC.

It’s getting late on Friday I know but did I miss a post about what happens
when we upgrade to Silverlight3 as developers? It’s awesome that the runtime is
backwards compatible so existing sites won’t break but...

1) Can we still target Silverlight2 in Visual Studio?
2) What happens to our corporate clients without admin rights, do we need
to get their IT guys to update?

John.
