The documentation is readily available online, and RTMFP Groups can be tested today by using Adobe Stratus as the peer introduction service. Stratus also supports automatic bootstrapping of group membership.
I believe this will all support what you're talking about when you say "swarming". Also note that as of this past June, I am no longer with Adobe.
