If I were to stick my oar in regarding SPOPS, what would make it perfect
for me is to have:
1) No built-in auth - uses P5EE auth systems.
2) Support for object metadata. And perhaps inherited metadata.
Other than that the SPOPS API seems fairly sane, though I'm sure Chris
would welcome a re-think (as we all do a year or more into projects).
