i don't think there's any question we'd want the p5ee mail api built around mime-tools. but what we're really shooting for (imo) is a client api for interactions with mail store and transport servers. this could possibly mean incorporation of Mail::Folder, creation of imap and pop drivers for Mail::Folder, etc.
