CentOS 6.4
Running PF 4.0.2
Tried to update PF and got the following error:
> yum update --enablerepo=PacketFence,epel,rpmforge,of
.
.
.
Error: Package: packetfence-4.0.3-1.el6.noarch (PacketFence)
Requires: perl(Net::DNS) = 0.65-4
Installed: perl-Net-DNS-0.66-1.of.el6.x86_64 (@of)
perl(Net::DNS) = 0.66
Available: perl-Net-DNS-0.65-4.el6.x86_64 (base)
perl(Net::DNS) = 0.65
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root
After receiving the error I manually updated the Net::DNS module using cpan and
it shows to be v. 0.72, but the dep error still occurs.
Would it be feasible for PF to host the necessary RPMs in its repo if it
requires specific versions? CentOS seems to always lag a few versions behind
when it comes to packages.
Is it safe to force the install since I manually installed the newer version
through cpan?
