I have only ever seen 00:50:56 for VMware, but apparently 00:0C:29 is
also VMware:

We don't use inline mode, so I cannot offer any specific help other than
my observation that the second connection appears to be coming in to PF
via the inline NAT.
Happy "round tuit" season to everyone in the .edu world...

It was not a stupid question. But the answer is no. I have also let this
project stall as we all know, there is always something more important to do.
The MAC address begins with 00:00:83 (Tadpole Technologies)
I went through the process again today and now have all of the steps.
I have unregistered all devices.
Restart machine. MAC Address 00:0c:29
Register
Packetfence registers 00:00:83
Reboot machine to make sure
Open Browser, required to register again
Go to Packetfence Admin Site:
00:00:83 is registered
00:0c:29 is not
Register 00:0c:29 on Admin Site
Go to Machine, able to access web.
This is a complete inline installation for one VLAN
