I appreciate your mail but I think that Reflector won't help because
DHCP server and PF Listener
are both on the same VLAN.
I'll add that PF can register DHCP-OFFER packet from server to
supplicant. This message is
broadcast so PF can see it. Another PF mode is the optional registration
of DHCP-ACK
but I prefer not to use it.
To keep IP and Mac-address I have another idea: to use the Radius
Accounting, but
I meet with a new issue. Radiusd-acct doesn't start because the port
1813 isn't free.
I'm out of other ideas 😉

A few days ago a sales person from Akamai Italy offered me an
installation and a support contract. Unfortunately the
price is very high and I cannot afford that expense because I work

but my site is very small for the service offered, we only amount to
60-70 people and operate on about 100 devices daily
connecting to the network.
This message means to report to you, and the entire development team,
the problem that is blocking me at the moment: PF doesn't
register the IP address of the computer that access the network.
My network is of the wired ethernet-eap type with 802.1x
authentication,
it has radius as a backend and the PF is in enforcement mode.
From the screenshotsyou can see some details, and in the following
there are all the tests I have done, (quite a lot),
I haven't solved it, so I think it is a bug in PF14.1.
The tests completed were:
1. I installed PF 14.1 on an Almalinux 8 server
2. I installed PF 14.1 on a Debian server
3. I installed PF 14.1 using the ISO image
4. I created a virtual machine using PF ZEN
5. the current , I installed PF 14.1 on a RockyLinux 8
Another problems is my httpd.webservice container, that does not work
correctly: it dies after 3-4 minutes of execution
and then it is restarted againd and again inside an infinite loop.
That's why I'm asking for your help because it is my only way to
continue using PF.
I believe that this problem also impacts all other users.
I need to understand if you can reproduce this bug and possibly know
when it will be fixed.
