Okay, I tried to stay out of this discussion, but now we're talking about
*important* stuff. <g>

What's more interesting? Depends on what you're trying to do. Motorcycles
are good for some things, muscle cars for others - like you can stuff more
people in. In fact, even within motorcycles, there are some that are
better for going 0-60, others that are good for travelling cross country,
others that are good for running errands in town, and still others that are
good if you want to ride through the woods. Same goes for cars. And
there's always the driver to consider.

The point is, you pick your platform based on what you need to do. I have
both a Philips Velo and Palm III, both of which I use - I call this
handheld Nirvana. The Palm is good for some things, the Velo others. I
think that this is where the market is headed - more choice for users - and
that is a very good thing. What we try to do is develop our software so
that we will support our users, whichever platform is right for them.

I hope that Palm will start allowing more clones *and* that CE sales will
start to pick up. This is *not* a zero-sum game. The more people who buy
handheld devices of any sort, the more all of us will prosper.

By the way, please tell me how I can make this argument more convincing - I
am trying to persuade my wife that we need two more cars and three more
motorcycles. Oh, and a pickup truck.

Regards,
Greg
