As far as I know, noone's written anything yet that allows the scanner to
input directly to any text field on a form. The only way I can think of to
do this would involve writing a Hack that would constantly keep the scanner
turned on; scans would go into the field with current focus. There might be
significant demand for this; I think a lot of current applications might
benefit from scan-ready data.

On the other hand, such a Hack would probably drain power like crazy.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?
