In reporting this problem, it would help us greatly if you could make a distinction between a "new" Palm V organizer and one that is not running any 3rd party software. I think a lot of people might interpret "brand new" to mean no additional apps installed, and I know this is rarely the case!

Update: We have been unable to reproduce this problem (after a lot of effort) on a product that has not run other software. So our current best theory is that some app is doing something -- possibly something that's supposed to be supported -- which is putting the device in that state.

In fact, it would help us a lot if you could include a list of applications that are or have been installed on the device when the problem occurs. Any thoughts about what you were doing between when alarms worked and when they didn't would also be appreciated.
