A follow-up (and I probably should have tried this before posting my
previous e-mail).
I just tried the same piece of code that wasn't working with POSE and
any current ROM, on a real device, and EvtSysEventAvail _does_ detect
an event in the List redraw callback. I don't know what it means (and
don't care to speculate as long as I can get what I need working),
but it's interesting.
