I hate to fire this thread up again.
BUT, this method DOES work on my Palm 3.x - but
does NOT work on my Palm VII.
Does the version of the OS have anything to do
with this working or NOT working?

I know this reply may be a bit late, but doesn't "shortcut . 5" allow this
to take place.
If I recall correctly, it should erase the user's name and random number.
The next hot sync you have, the device appears to be a never-before-synced
device.
