I just wanted to say that I have had similar problems with CW on a
Mac, and have never been able to track them down. My crashes seem to
point towards: POSE, multi-segmenting issues, or possibly POSE and OS
9 and multi-segmenting...
When I am debugging an application and "step too quickly" or similar,
POSE will go into a non-state of debugging, which 50% of the time
causes a series of chain reaction, kill-processii and ultimately a
reboot. I am however, so disgrunted by the problem that I dutifully
reboot, even though I >know< that most developers to not suffer like
this.
My Setup is:
G3 500 Powerbook, 384 Megs RAM, OS 9.04
CW DR6 with 3.5 SDK, plus 3.5SDK Patch 1.
developing a multi-segment (in excess of 8) C++ application,
debugging to POSE 3.0a5, running 3.5 ROM images (I have tried it on
all 6, and to some extent it is roughly repeatable.
