Certain database types have critical defined meanings. For example:
1. 'appl' is required for the application to be listed by the Launcher.
2. 'panl' is required for the application to be listed by the Preferences.
And, there certainly are some apparent conventions. But, does Palm have any
official guidelines or rules about this? Is it "kosher" to create your own
types? Since new types appear with each new Palm OS release, isn't it
possible that creating your own types could create a problem? (not being
critical...just asking...thanks :-).
