I still don't have an option on eliminating the press and hold, but that is how you set the silkscreen buttons to your app. Press and hold the silkscreen button, then select your app from that list. That will change the app displayed on the silkscreen to the selected app. Works on all 4 silkscreen buttons. The problem is trying to prevent someone from changing it back, and again, don't think the OS was designed to support that concept.
