Your approach is wrong, unfortunately. Just because the scanner is enabled,
that does not mean it will fill in a field with something that was scanned.
In code, a successful scan triggers a scan event which must be coded for and
handled like any other event (buttons, triggers, lists, etc). In other
words, I don't see any way for you to enable the address book application
without modifying that code (or perhaps trapping field entry code on a
system level to accept input directly from the scanner .. what a nightmare
that would be).
