To add to that note...
If Palm doesn't release the source (or at the very least the
db format)for NotePad as they have with MemoPad, and NotePad
works it's way over to the Symbols, I'll be forced to load
MemoPad and yank NotePad from the flash (unless our users want
both apps for some reason). It'd be a shame, too, since from
what I've seen of NotePad, it's a much better app...but being
able to utilize the MemoPad database to store simple text output
from external applications so users can browse that output
without syncing it around is just too nice a feature to let go
of, especially with users who don't get to sync their unit all
that often-Happens alot in the PoS industry. (And there shouldn't
be an reason to rewrite MemoPad everytime I need to do this...
you don't have to rewrite Notepad in Windows whenever you write an
application that writes out text...that's time-consuming and
inefficient).
