Oh no... I realized that DiddleBug was GPL, I was just pointing out that
Palm was personally distributing it to the new purchasers. Some of the
software on that CD is shareware normally, however... for example:
DDH Software's Thesaurus is $15.
Zillionaire is $12.95.
I'm not sure what version of the powerOne calculator is included -- I'd
expect the personal (free) one, but the description does indicate that it
supports graphing, which makes me think it might be powerOne Graph which is
normally $50.
Of course, the CD could just have the non-registered versions. The leaflet
doesn't say, but still, for $0.33 (postage to send in the form), its a good
deal for new Palm users.
ObPalmDev: And it makes me wonder if Palm will be doing another one of these
later, and if so, how they will be picking applications for it.
