  sony units kick ass :) but, sony sucks at being "nice" to
  developers - their developer program sucks and the docs are
  not up to scratch..

  i believe they take it from both the VRAM of the qmedia chip
  (if there is any) and from the heap if thats all used up. :P
  thats what i would do anyhow :P

  their "new high density possibilities" is a buzz word, just like
  marketing will say "palm on ARM CPU" yet - developers wont be
  writing native palm apps until palmos 6.

  marketing is a joke :)
