Is there anything in Palm OS 5 running in background and interrupting a foreground application?
I have been asking about the issue calling it 'concurrent processes'. Sorry about that :-) My application runs great in Palm OS 4.x doing data acquisition synchronously at high speed. There is no issue with uncontrolled multithreading, which would cause unwanted timing breaks in the data being captured. This is because, as I know, there is no operating system intervention in background similar to that one has in MS Windows 9x. The only issue could be when using Palm OS 4.x if the NetLib stack would be running, but it never happens concurrently in my application. What about surprises like that from Palm OS 5?
