By setting it's backup bit when you DmClose() it. Hotsync has a
built-in backup conduit that will copy the whole database into a
file.

If you want to backup individual records or synchronise with the PC,
you need to write your own conduit.

Did you look into your c:\Program Files\Palm\<yourname>\backup
directory? There should be a <nameofyourdatafile>.pdb file in there.
