Let me explain first.... Last summer the USAF Thunderbirds flew at Mchord AFB for the first time in a couple of years. I met a young gentleman of about 10 yrs old who was intently watching the show. He mentioned that his great grandfather used to make the show happen but that he died doing it. I had a very interesting comversation with this young man for about fifteen minutes.he was very proud of his great grandfather, so I asked him if I could talk to his father. What I discovered was that his great grandfather was one of the ground crewmen for the thunderbirds that had died in the crash of their support aircraft on October 9, 1958. That day, 19 men aboard the thunderbirds support C-123 perished in a crash about 50 miles NW of Boise, Idaho, while flying to an airshow at McChord AFB, his great grandfather was one of them. After talking for a while, I found out that this little guy has posters all over his walls of the thunderbirds many of them signed by pilots and groundcrew. But, he doesn't have any models of the aircraft. His father tried to build some but claims that he doesn't have the talents to do it right. The father said that it would be ok if I built some for this young man to hang from his ceiling. I have their contact info. I have already aquired or built a couple of the aircraft, the F-100D (1964-68); F-16A (1983-91) , and the F-84F. (FG thunderstreak repainted into TB colors) The ones I need to complete the set are, Performance Aircraft - F-84G (1953-54); F-100C (1956-63); F-105B (6 shows 1964); F-4E (1969-73); T-38A (1974-81); F-16C (1992-2008) Support Aircraft - C-119F (1955-57); C-123B (1958-63); C-54D (1959-63); T-33A (1950's - 60's narrators aircraft); F-16B (1983-91 PR Aircraft) and F-16D (1992-2008 PR Aircraft) Locations and availability would be nice, free if possible, low cost is ok, Skinned as a thunderbird would be nice but I can easily do rescales and repaints (I already have the artwork a must for this one) Any help at all on this tall order would be greatly appreciated...
