This is more correct than most would want to hear. I got my CPAP in the spring a couple of years ago (I think...I can't remember exactly). If I remember correctly, I was told that my breathing stopped (and consequently my heart) about 37 times a minute. For that reason alone, they put me on a CPAP.
And to think my wife sent me in just to have my snoring checked out... ;-) I'm using a mouth/nose mask, and it works better than the nose-only mask I started with. Thanks to my rather extreme allergies, I found that I couldn't breathe with that about 85% of the time, and opening my mouth to breathe only defeated the purpose of the machine. My only problem with it is that in order to get it to seal well enough to keep from blowing air into my eyes, I have to cinch it down tight enough that it rubs the bridge of my nose raw. I do have to admit, though, that the humidified machines are nice. --Mike M. On Sep 4, 2:52 pm, molenc...@yahoo.com wrote: > Hi JW: > > Please accept my apologies for conveying the wrong point.
