Congrats for the new machine. I would like to share some tips too

1. The designer edition though have more features but still not worth the
price. However if you ever wish to upgrade to designer edition, do search
for alternates as some sites are offering it for approx 50% discount too. I
got mine from ebay (a seller DND Enterprise was selling it for cheap). The
main feature for which I purchased the Designer edition was its advance
knife function.

2. You can use Cricut 12x24 Cutting Mats, which are cheaper than the
Silhouette Cutting mats.

3. If you have repositionable spray adhesive then you can make your own
mats but still I prefer using Cricut Mats.

If you find that the cutting mat are too much sticky then use a fabric
towel or even a jeans cloth piece to remove the stickyness from the mat.

Regarding printing for print and cut, I print using the software to cutepdf
to make a pdf file then I get the pdf file printed from a professional
printer and cut it using the save file and it works superb.

PS: I will love to have the TARDIS Model. Thanks in advance

Thanks & Regards,
