On FreeBSD 9.0-current ia64, PV 3.8.0 gives this message on opening can.ex2 (supplied with the tutorial):
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2 QPainter::setRenderHint: Painter must be active to set rendering hints QPainter::setBrush: Painter not active QPainter::end: Painter not active, aborted and many menus have missing buttons, e.g. 1. Open button is missing: http://eis.bris.ac.uk/~mexas/missing1.png 2. OK button is missing: http://eis.bris.ac.uk/~mexas/missing2.png 3. Numbers are missing from Save animation dialog, and cannot be input: http://eis.bris.ac.uk/~mexas/missing3.png When I try to save animation, (hit enter as there is no OK button) PV crashes with: Assertion failed: (bufferName == BUFFER_DEPTH || bufferName == BUFFER_STENCIL || fb->Attachment[bufferName].Renderbuffer == NULL), function _mesa_add_renderbuffer, file main/renderbuffer.c, line 1924. gdb is not very helpful: GNU gdb 6.1.1 [FreeBSD] Copyright 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
