Hi Kyle, thank you for looking at the file.
I don't know if it is a Windows issue - unfortunately, I don't have the possibility to use a Linux machine here although I would love to... ;) Do you have the possibility to test the file on a Windoze machine? What would be your guess why 3.12-RC2 opens the file on my machine, while 3.12 (release) doesn't? Would you say that Paraview is less stable under Windoze than under Linux? Would it make sense that I try a development snapshot of Paraview? If so, I would need a binary since I don't have a C++ compiler on my machine... The file opens and the clip filter works as expected. The memory usage for ParaView is 1-1.5GB so I don't think lack of memory on your machine is an issue. I also tried it with the 3.12 binaries from paraview.org and everything worked as expected. Perhaps this is a Windows issue?
