I'm glad the error was so simple. I recall our spate of these KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS errors in build reports on Darwin from 2-3 years back. They're very tricky to debug, as they appear to be memory errors at the Mach kernel level (see http://www.linuxselfhelp.com/gnu/machinfo/html_chapter/mach_5.html).
